迎亚运 学英语 讲文明——康乐园“亚运广州行”英语日群众文化活动

2009年10月21日上午，由市桥街党工委、办事处和街“创文”办、街义工联主办，市桥街社区北片管理处承办的“争做好市民，当好东道主”——“亚运广州行”英语日群众文化活动在市桥街康乐社区举行。市民在浓厚的英语氛围中，相互学习，相互切磋，共同学英语，讲英语。

陈氏教育的老师们朗诵了迎亚运的英语诗歌，儒家礼仪师陈锦荣用英语进行了演讲，并现场教居民群众学习实用的英语词汇。除了精彩的演出，本次活动还设置了亚运英语知识有奖问答、英语文明用语游戏闯关、志愿者现场英语辅导、亚运英语志愿者现场招募等摊位。广大社区居民热情参与，懂英语的大显身手，不懂的努力学习简单的英语日常对话，连70多岁的老人家都学习讲几句英语问候语。希望能藉此活动弘扬奥林匹克精神，普及亚运会知识，广泛宣传广州亚运会和创建全国文明城市知识，使办亚运理念深入人心，激发群众学习英语的热情。

Ladies and gentlemen,

Good morning,

It’s my honor to be here to share the wonderful moment with all of you,my fellow neighbours and friends.

As we all know, the 16th Asian Games are coming——just coming to Panyu, coming near around us. It’s the festival of Guangzhou, and it’s the opportunity of us.

The Chinese traditional culture not noly belongs to us, but also belongs to Asia,belongs to the whole human being. We must learn more about our traditional culture and etiquette when we study English hard. So that we can celebrate our guests from all over the world, with our high spirit, showing our modern, our fast development, our friendship and our culture.

Kangle people, it’s the time. Let’s get together and take our opportunity. I believe that with these, 2010 Asian Games will be more splendid.
